OUR STORY
We founded Sounds That Carry to help non-profit arts organizations develop meaningful community connections. The arts are under threat, and funding is increasingly limited. It is more important than ever to design programs that not only reach diverse audiences but also engage them in ways that are meaningful and impactful. Community programs are no longer just a nice-to-have—they are essential for organizations to stay relevant and connected in today's rapidly changing world.
While well-intentioned, many community-engaged arts initiatives often miss the opportunity to deeply engage new audiences. Providing free tickets and one-off school visits is no longer enough. It is time for arts and culture organizations to design programming that encourages participants to engage as creators and partners, rather than passive recipients.
We are committed to shifting that paradigm. Our work ensures that arts programs are not only accessible, but transformative, drawing on the existing strengths of the communities you care about and honoring their priorities.
Our goal is to offer an external perspective that brings expertise in human-centered programming, leveraging our combined expertise in music education, music therapy, and our own experience as Juilliard-trained musicians to design programs, understand their impact, and communicate their value.
We are proud to be a women-owned, minority-owned (AAPI & Latina) company, and we take great pride in bringing our unique perspectives to every project we undertake.
